eBallot Response to COVID-19

Our response to the coronavirus situation and our plan for business going forward.

Our Response to COVID-19

With the novel coronavirus situation developing quickly, we believe it’s important to be transparent about how eBallot is responding to the outbreak.

Our top priority is the health and safety of our employees and of the communities we serve, including our clients, partners, prospects, and voters.

Despite recent closures of many businesses and events, eBallot has contingencies in place to operate at full capacity and administer all voting events as planned. Our team is more than capable of meeting new or changing requirements, should it be impacted by coronavirus concerns.

*The following information is current as of Friday, September 10th, 2020. We will update this page accordingly to reflect any fundamental changes to our plan.*

Infrastructure Resilience and Reliability

Each day, our employees and software service thousands of users. They routinely accommodate voting events that range into the millions of voters.

Data Storage and Management

Your data is stored in best-in-class enterprise cloud storage (AWS), with several layers of backup in place. Read more about our data security practices here.

Support

Our U.S.-based support team continues to be available 9am - 5pm ET, Monday through Friday via our support page. They are available to answer any questions and strive to respond within one business day.

In addition, we have drastically improved our self-directed resources so you can find the information you need, on-demand.

Business Continuity and Workforce Resilience

Keeping our operations running is critical to us and we consider ourselves lucky to be in a situation where creating great experiences for our clients is not limited to any one particular location.

We encourage you to speak with our team if you need to navigate any sort of remote, collaborative decisions during this tense time.

Live Voting Events

All on-site voting support is currently under evaluation. If we’re working with you on a live voting event in the near future, please reach out to us if we haven’t been in touch already.

With in-person events around the globe being canceled, we’ve seen an increased response from organizations suddenly needing to collaborate on decisions remotely.

Moving votes and elections online is our core business offering and we promise to find the best way forward for your organization.

Health and Safety for eBallot Employees

We made the decision to ask all employees to work from home for at least the next two weeks. All business travel has been temporarily suspended.

This is not a shock to our business operations, as flexibility and the ability to work from home has been baked into our culture for years.

We leverage a range of best-in-class collaboration technologies such as Slack for messaging, Asana for project management, Zoom for video conferencing, and other critical cloud tools that allow uninterrupted remote work for all employees.

What You Can Expect

You, as our client, will not notice any impact.

As stated, our company, systems, employees, and operations were designed to work from separate locations, so all business operations will continue as normal.

We deeply appreciate your partnership with eBallot. It is a stressful time for our communities around the world, and so we want to do everything we can to minimize panic and maximize safety.

Please reach out to us at any point if we can be doing more.

Sincerely,

Team eBallot
